R COSTINGS ABBEY

On Saturday we welcome Kidderminster to The R Costings Abbey Stadium for what will be our third game in seven days.

The match could provide an interesting scenario on Saturday evening where Cambridge could cement their place in the top six with an unbeaten start. It would surely provide a massive boost and give the required confidence to the team and allow them to relax and play their game without pressure.

To do this the team will have to improve their performance level significantly. At this time the team have not reached the required level expected by manager Jez George. Indeed George has actually openly stated his disappointment and worry about the performance of the team. He and i'm sure the fans will demand and expect the level of performance improve.

Kidderminster although not as strong as Wrexham will I believe will provide the toughest test of the season so far. They will be strong and well organised and The Ambermen will need to be on the ball to get a draw at the very least.

With Ashley Carew and Harrison Dunk seemingly starting to already settle we can at least see a chance of getting a win. Providing Charles, Marriott and Berry step up we could cause the opposition problem. The defence looks ok but they have alot to be grateful for with goalkeeper Danny Naisbitt in superb form. He has almost single handedly kept his team in both the games played so far.

The fixture against Telford showed that there is a lot of work to be done to reach the required level. Telford, recently promoted, could have easily been three goals to the good at half time and even had good chances in the second half. Jez George has admitted that it wasn't good enough and that he would be looking to get into the heads of the players.

With this in mind I believe that Kidderminster will convert the chances they get and will mean that Cambridge will either have to tighten up or score more than Kidderminster.

I am going for 2-1 Kidderminster.

Come on The U's.
