Cambridge United have sacked Martin Ling and coach John Schofield on Tuesday afternoon. Ling's tenure was brought to an end after an indifferent start to the season. It was clear that Ling was under pressure as Cambridge have been on a dreadful run which included conceding fifteen goals in four games.

Highly respected CRC boss Jez George has taken the reigns assisted by assistant manager Paul Carden.
