Cambridge United have announced that they will be signing Stevenage striker Peter Winn on loan.
Winn is famous for scoring a goal against Newcastle in the FA Cup last season.
The striker started out at Scunthorpe in 2006 and spent four years at the club only making four appearances. He spent time on loan at Northwich Victoria playing nine games scoring one goal. In 2009 he spent time with Barrow playing three games. He then spent two different loan spells at Gateshead
. In 2010 he joined Stevenage playing a part in their FA CUP tie against Newcastle last year scoring a goal.
Speaking on the club's official website
manager Jez George said "We've been tracking Peter for some time and moved quickly when he became available. He gives us pace, versatility and will add to our attacking options. Peter can play either wide or up front, is predominantly left-footed and will even give us cover at left back."
