WELLARD RETURNS TO WIMBLEDON

Cambridge loanee Ricky Wellard has been recalled by AFC Wimbledon.

Wellard, who is very popular at the Abbey, has been called back by boss Terry Brown due to a couple of problems in the midfield area.

Brown said "I've called Ricky back due to a couple of problems in midfield". He added, "Sammy Moore is out with a long term injury and James Mulley is out due to a three match suspension".

Wellard who has been instrumental in the U's return to form is very well thought of at the Abbey and many will hope for his return at some point.

"When I called Jez to say we needed Ricky back he was very upset," added Brown. "They really like him up there and he has done well for them but that is good for us and this is how we are using the loan system, he will be in the squad the next game".

Wellard played nine times for the Ambermen.
