WELLARD SIGNS ON LOAN

Ricky Wellard has joined Blue Square Premier rivals Cambridge United on loan.

The AFC Wimbledon midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Kingsmeadow after the January arrival of James Mulley.

Boss Terry Brown made the 22-year-old available for loan earlier this week, and the U's have wasted no time in bringing the former Ashford Town star to the Abbey Stadium for 28 days.
