CONNORS LEAVES CAMBRIDGE

Cambridge United have announced that midfielder Steve Connors has left the club.

Connors joined Cambridge last month as free agent after previously playing for Fleetwood and has been injured for the whole of pre season.

The tough guy midfielder from Liverpool had hoped to get his career back on the road after a number of set backs. Manager Jez George also had high hopes for the midfielder claiming his tenacious and ball winning style would be useful. Also being left footed the midfield player would give tremendous balance and provide cover in number of positions.

Connors leaves without playing a game for the club.
