Cambridge United have today signed striker Ryan Charles.
The signing of Charles comes hot on the heels of Danny Wright's departure to Wrexham.
Although negotiations were well underway a couple of weeks ago the news was confirmed today with Charles likely to replace Danny Wright. Charles was a free agent after big financial problems hit his old club Rushden & Diamonds.

Charles will prove to be a valuable addition to Jez George's squad as he can be utilized as a striker, winger or on the right side of midfield. He is likely to play as a striker especially as Wright has moved on to Wrexham.
Manager George told the club's official website "Ryan has shown a real desire to join us, despite the interest of other clubs, and we are looking forward to working with him."
Charles himself said. "I'm happy to be here to be part of a big club with a massive fan base, and the start of something new. I've had other offers but I've turned them down because I believe in the Club and what we can achieve next season".
