Cambridge United have wrapped up their close season revamp by signing Ashley Carew.
The midfielder will join on a one year deal.
The ex Barnet player has had a chequered career. He stated his career at Gillingham but was released in 2004. After a year spent at a couple of non league clubs lastly at Fisher Athletic he signed for Barnet. Carew played 41 games in a couple of years at Barnet before his contract was cancelled which enabled him to join Eastleigh.

In August 2010 Carew joined Ebbsfleet enjoying a good season scoring 13 goals in 41 games. Manager Jez George commented "We watched Ashley at the end of last season and were impressed by his athleticism, intelligence, presence and ability to score goals. He is a versatile player that we see predominantly in the wide right position but would be equally at home as a second striker and also gives us even more options if we play three central midfielder's".
Carew's signing is Jez George's eighth of the season
