BONNER JOINS AS CRC MANAGER

 

 

Cambridge United have today announced that Mark Bonner has been hired to be manager of the CRC.

Bonner will leave his post as Youth Development coach at Football League club Southend United.

As manager of CRC Bonner will be Mark will be responsible for coaching the youth scholars and all aspects of the youth scholar programme. His main role will be to manage the CRC team continuing the high standards set and will work to keep the conveyor belt of players through to the first team. Mark will also work with Marc Tracy and Tom Pell ensuring he play's a part of Centre of Excellence and is aware of all of the players coming through our youth scheme.

Bonner used to work in the Youth system when Cambridge were a league team. When the U's were relegated Bonner left for pastures new.

He told Cambridgeunited.com "I am delighted to be back at the R Costings Abbey Stadium, having been away for the best part of six years and I'm excited by the challenge of working with the scholars to continue the excellent work carried our by Jez & Nolan. Cambridge United has a great tradition of producing its own players and the Club and its staff have done a fantastic job in continuing this tradition over the difficult past five years.
